Someone...or something has been going spraypainting the words, "Who Watches the Watchmen" in Chelsea, SoHo and in random alleys around town. So who's doing it? I can't imagine the city's comic nerds are out late at night spreading the Watchmen's tagline around town. And, seeing that it's all done in the same purple paint, this is just screaming grassroots marketing. Warner Bros probably doesn't care that they'll get fined, they're going to make so much bank on this film in its first two weeks in the theatre. I kinda wish they did something more original, like, I dunno, had a street artist remix their ads and then furiuosly back pedal while city agencies huff and gruff to the Post. (via Slashfilm)
