YOUNG@HEART

The senior citizen rock chorus, that's right senior citizen rock chorus, YOUNG@HEART is coming to NYC, and Radar posted a piece on their Fresh Intelligence blog today, complete with a video of them singing the Talking Heads' "Road To Nowhere".

"Currently featured in the Award-winning documentary by Fox Searchlight Pictures, the inspiring individuals of the YOUNG@HEART CHORUS have proved it is possible to grow old without growing boring. Performing Sonic Youth's dissonant rock anthem "Schizophrenia" and giving new meaning to James Brown's "I Feel Good," the Massachusetts-based group is made up of two dozen spirited seniors who specialize in reinterpreting rock, punk and R & B classics from a unique perspective."
This actually got me really excited to see the movie. When can you see them live? Well, Sunday, June 22nd they will be here in NYC at the Beacon Theatre. Tickets are rather expensive - from $50 to $105 - but is sure to be a rocking old time. Rocking, old, and adorable.

Enjoy "Road to Nowhere", by the Talking Heads, as performed by YOUNG@HEART, below.
